CHAPTER 1: A LONG TIME AGO
"20th Century Fox Fanfare" / "Star Wars Main Title"

In may of 1977, a film opened in a mere 32 theaters and forever changed the way we experience the movies. Written and directed by George Lucas, Star Wars offered audiences a modern mythology - an epic tale of good vs. evil that still resonates with millions of people around the world.

CHAPTER 2: DARK FORCES CONSPIRE
"Duel Of The Fates" from Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

For thousands of years, a great republic governed the galaxy. It was a time when peace, justice and freedom flourished throughout the star systems. But the forces of evil are never easily suppressed and those bent on the destruction of the republic were resigned to hide in the shadows. They would not remain hidden for long.

CHAPTER 3: A HERO RISES
"Anakin's Theme" from Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

As the threat to the republic grew, a slave boy on a remote desert planet was about to take his first step towards a far greater destiny. Young Anakin Skywalker discovered he possessed a special affinity for the ways of the Jedi knights, the guardians of peace and justice under the republic. Soon Anakin began an epic journey that would thrust him into the very heart of the ensuing struggle for control of the galaxy.

CHAPTER 4: A FATEFUL LOVE
"Across The Stars" from Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones

As Anakin pursued his training under Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, another figure came to play an even more profound role in his life. Padmé Amidala, Queen of the Naboo and a senator of the republic. Anakin and Padmé first met as children on his home planet of Tatooine. Years later their love blossomed and matured. Yet it was an ill-fated love, one that would exist all too briefly and only from across the stars.

CHAPTER 5: A HERO FALLS
"Battle of the Heroes" from Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

As the forces of evil emerged from the shadows and the Clone Wars began, Anakin was swept up in a rising tide that propelled the galaxy from a Grand Republic towards a ruthless dictatorship. Soon an epic struggle began deep within Anakin for his very soul. Overwhelmed by despair and suffering, he was enveloped by the mantle of darkness, and chose to turn from the light.

CHAPTER 6: AN EMPIRE IS FORGED
"The Imperial March" from Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

As the days of peace and justice in the galaxy came to a bitter end, a new, darker power came into being: the Galactic Empire. And as the new regime established control with an iron grip, Anakin rose to take his place at the Emperor's side, not as the gifted young Jedi he had been but as the ominous figure he had become: Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith.

CHAPTER 7: A PLANET THAT IS FARTHEST FROM
"The Dune Sea of Tatooine / Jawa Sandcrawler" from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

As the Empire's grip tightened around star systems throughout the galaxy, the arid and desolate planet of Tatooine appeared unlikely to garner the notice of the Imperial governors. Yet Tatooine's shifting sands provided the backdrop for events that would forever change the galaxy.

CHAPTER 8: AN UNLIKELY ALLIANCE
"Binary Sunset / Cantina Band" from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

Tatooine was home to yet another figure who would impact the galaxy in profound ways: a young moisture farmer named Luke Skywalker. Luke's adventures began in a shady cantina in Mos Eisley spaceport, and in rather unusual company: two droids, a space smuggler, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, and a now aging Jedi Knight named Obi-Wan Kenobi.

CHAPTER 9: A DEFENDER EMERGES
"Princess Leia's Theme" from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

Worlds away, another leader in the fight against the Empire also came of age. Princess Leia Organa was a young woman of passionate convictions and surprising resourcefulness. She wielded what influence she still possessed as a senator of the former Republic to aid the rebels in their fight for freedom. Those who yearned for the return of peace and justice could not have asked for a more noble or courageous defender.

Chapter 10: A DARING RESCUE
"Ben's Death / Tie Fighter Attack" from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

The Death Star. An immense space station so powerful it could destroy an entire planet with one blast of its primary weapon. Alone in a prison cell deep within this dark fortress, Princess Leia awaited execution at the hands of the Empire she had sworn to destroy. With the help of Luke Skywalker and his newfound comrades, Leia managed a daring escape, with Imperial forces in determined pursuit.

Chapter 11: A JEDI IS TRAINED
"Yoda's Theme" from Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

The strength of a Jedi emanates from the Force - an energy field created by all living things that surrounds and penetrates them, binding the galaxy together. Perhaps the greatest practitioner of this mystical power was a diminutive, 900-year-old Jedi Master known as Yoda. It was Yoda who trained young Luke in the ways of the Jedi and prepared him for his eventual confrontation with the rulers of the Empire.

Chapter 12: A NARROW ESCAPE
"The Asteroid Field" from Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

The rebellion against the Empire was marked by many heroic battles and thrilling escapes, but none more daring than that of the Millennium Falcon pursued by an Imperial Star Destroyer through a massive asteroid field. It has been said that the possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately 3720 to 1. Some would prefer never to be told the odds.

Chapter 13: A BOND UNBROKEN
"Luke and Leia" from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

Eventually Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa came to learn that they were brother and sister. As twin children of Anakin and Padme, they shared a bond far stronger than that merely of two devoted leaders of the Rebel Alliance. Although raised on planets light years apart, Luke and Leia joined together in their struggle to destroy the oppressive Empire their estranged father helped to create.

Chapter 14: A SANCTUARY MOON
"The Forest Battle (Concert Suite)" from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

The final battle for control of the galaxy took place over the forest moon of Endor, a world inhabited by a race known as Ewoks - colorful creatures who proved to be fierce warriors when threatened by Imperial forces. As the Rebel Alliance massed over Endor, so began a last, desperate effort to bring down the tyrannical rule of the Emperor once and for all.

Chapter 15: A LIFE REDEEMED
"Light Of The Force" from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

A devoted servant of the Emperor, Darth Vader's embrace of the Dark Side seemed irrevocable and complete. But when torn between service to his master and the life of his only son, Vader ultimately discovered the good that still dwelled deep within him. Mortally wounded after destroying the Emperor, a dying Vader lay in his son's embrace. As the Death Star crumbled around them, the slave boy of Tatooine, brilliant Jedi warrior, and Dark Lord of the Sith found peace at last.

Chapter 16: A NEW DAY DAWNS
"Throne Room / Finale" from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

It was there above the verdant moon of Endor that the Rebel Alliance finally proved victorious over the forces of evil. It was there that Anakin Skywalker cast off the shackles of enslavement to his Emperor and found redemption through love for his son. It was a time of celebration when peace and justice returned to the galaxy.

May the force be with you - always.
